David Gilbert

David Gilbert has produced high quality documentaries for more than 25 years.

He is a leading executive television producer and has produced for the world’s most prestigious channels: Channel 4 TV, BBC TV, The Discovery Channel and National Geographic Channel. He developed, launched and ran SKY’s top rated B2B channel. He has also produced for engineering based series Megastructures, Engineering Connections and Industrial Revelations.

Expert in Talent management, he has worked with celebrities and leading personalities Alan Sugar, Zoe Ball, Tom Baker, Jon Snow and Richard Hammond, to name a few.

Gilbert went onto produce the highly successful prime time series for the Discovery Channel, “Future Weapons”, which enjoyed its highest ever premiere for a show, and became one of its top three shows.

Gilbert also produced Virgin Galactic – securing exclusive access for the BBC and National Geographic Channel around the development and launch of the world’s first commercial spaceliner, as well as “Formula E”, the world’s first all-electric motor racing championship.

He has produced numerous shows around industrial history and military history.

Stephen Hunter

Stephen brings a wealth of experience to Screenstory. During his nine year stint as VP of Production and Development for National Geographic Channels International, Stephen oversaw the anthology strands: Megastructres and Megafactories. And, he personally Executive Produced over 38 hours of programming for those strands. In this role he spearheaded early plans for documentaries on the reclamation of Saadiyat Island as well as hour long programs on two of the three museums (Louvre and Guggenheim).

He has worked across the board for most of the major Networks in the world. He’s been an on air, Current Affairs presenter and producer for the CBC in Canada, as well as Head of Development for indie producers: CineNova and Cineflix . Among his credits: Jet Man LiveStonehenge DecodedJesus: Rise to PowerApocalypse: Rise of Hitler, Bones of the Buddha, Disaster in the Gulf, 9/11: The American Dream and Alien Deep. Her experience ranges from programme finance management at Channel Four, to SVP of Business Development at National Geographic, to Director of Production Management at Discovery  and Director of Business Affairs and Rights Management at Al Jazeera Television.
